Todays consumer is increasingly aware of social and environmental issues and is accordingly more demanding of those who have influence over the products and services they buy.
Of primary concern for UK Retailers and consumers alike are the conditions under which consumer products are produced. Child labour, forced labour, conditions of work, Health and Safety and low pay are some of the key elements included in our Social and Ethical Audit process.
HSTTS and their global partners work with Retailers and manufacturers to ensure that factories comply with a recognised standard, SA8000 or the ETI Base Code.
